Description
RTSASR-12X is a 12-port, 3 Gigabit Serial Attached SCSI Expander (SAS Edge Expander) in a 1U rackmount chassis. This SAS expander provides functionality for connecting targets and initiators with up to 12 phys integrated for SAS initiator, SAS target, SAS expander, or Serial ATA (SATA) target devices. The RTSASR-12X supports both wide and narrow port configurations.

Applications
- The RTSASR-12X can be used in simple topologies to attach an initiator to SAS/SATA devices, in edge expander topologies to increase the number of accessible devices, or in fault tolerant path redundancy topologies to improve system reliability. Up to 144 devices can be connected by cascading multiple RTSASR-12X expanders.
